This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, store, use, and disclose personal information through our website, platform, gift card products, and related services. ### 1. What Information We Collect We may collect and hold the following types of personal information: - Identification information – your name, email address, mobile number, and account details when you register - Transaction data – card purchase and redemption information, balance, expiry dates, and refund history - Location data – for geo-locked cards, a one-time location check is conducted to activate the card, but this data is not stored or retained - Device or browser information – for fraud prevention and analytics - Charity preferences – when you choose to donate unused funds We do not collect or store financial account details such as your full card number or CVV. All card issuing and payments are processed via our partner, Airwallex Pty Ltd (ABN 37 609 653 312, AFSL 487221), and subject to their terms and privacy policy. ### 2. How We Collect Information We collect information directly from: - Users creating an account with a verified email address - Purchasers and recipients of digital gift cards - Subscription users (Business and Fundraiser accounts) - Email, SMS, QR code, and web link-based interactions - Your voluntary participation in promotions or surveys ### 3. How We Use Your Information We use personal information to: - Deliver and manage your digital gift card experience - Process refunds and donations - Provide dashboards and reporting tools to subscribers - Communicate reminders, receipts, redemption notifications, and support messages - Improve and secure our services - Comply with applicable laws and regulatory obligations You will receive notifications such as: - Whether a card has been redeemed or not claimed - Expiry reminders - Refund or donation confirmations ### 4. Sharing Your Information We may share your information with: - Our trusted service providers, including Airwallex, for card issuing and payments - Charities (for Fundraiser card donations only, and only in anonymised or aggregated form) - Regulatory authorities if legally required - Our IT and hosting providers for platform functionality We will never sell your personal data. ### 5. Location Data and Geo-Locked Cards If you receive a geo-locked card, we perform a one-time location check using your device's browser or mobile system to confirm your presence in the designated area. We do not store or track your location. This information is used only to unlock the card. ### 6. Data Security We take reasonable steps to ensure the security of your personal information. This includes: - Encrypted data transmission - Secure user authentication - Account-based access to card information and balances - Continuous platform monitoring for fraud and misuse While we take all reasonable precautions, no system is 100% secure. Users should also take care to keep login credentials confidential. ### 7. Overseas Disclosure LocalCard primarily stores data within Australia, but some service providers may operate in other jurisdictions.
